For over a century, Wesson has been the cooking oil of choice in American homes. David Wesson developed an innovative process in 1899 for deodorizing cotton seed oil.


The first commercial all-vegetable shortenings from cottonseed was created.

Wesson Oil has been a key staple in American kitchens for generations. Our fine oils are proudly produced and packaged in our 280,000-square-foot facility in Memphis, Tennessee.
